Meet The Maker

Hello!

I am Mike Hopkinson the owner and maker of bespoke fountain pens at Clyde Pen Company.

Having had a long career in engineering I have decided to indulge my passion and go back to my roots in creating something from raw materials.        

Having admired Duncan’s design and engineering skills along with his eye for detail for many year’s I have taken up the opportunity to take on the business, to ensure the  legacy he has created continues.

I take a great deal of pride and satisfaction in the knowledge that every one of our pens are innovatively designed, perfectly functional and meticulously made.  

I have incorporated the pen making equipment into my workshop here in the fishing village of Portknockie on the stunning Moray coast of Northeast Scotland. If you ever find your self up in this part of the world get in touch, always happy to show off our product.
